Two distinctive monsoonal climates occur here in the Maldives.
Northeast Monsoon (Dry Season)
Usually from January to April. Plenty of bright sunshine, hot sunny days. There may be a period of unsettled transitional weather late April and early May.
Southwest Monsoon (Wet Season)
Usually from May to November. There will be periods of time where you may experience passing torrential rains and strong winds. They generally don’t last the entire day.
